Il Cammino di Berardo MTB Gran Fondo

VI Pescina City Trophy - May 4, 2025

The sixth edition of Il Cammino di Berardo was held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, with 160 athletes starting from Pescina, in the province of L'Aquila. The 41-kilometer course with 1,400 meters of elevation gain, predominantly on dirt, crossed the Lupara climbs and the summit of Monte Faito (1,459 m), with views over the Fucino plain.

In the men's category, Davide Giorgini (Pasolini Racing Team) won, finishing in under two hours, ahead of Marco Paiorisi (Lineaoro Bike Avezzano) and local rider Luca Alfano (Asd 25Orari). In the women's category, victory went to Eleonora D'Angelo (Asd I Briganti d'Abruzzo), followed by Moira Franchi and Beatrice Sacchetti. The 2025 edition marked the race's debut in the Abruzzo MTB Cup circuit, organized by ASD GS Fontamara with the Municipality of Pescina.
