Photographic exhibition and Ferrari gathering for the driver from Rozzano
Michele Alboreto is the most famous son of Rozzano, in the province of Milan: a Formula 1 driver, winner of Grands Prix at the wheel of a Ferrari in the eighties, who passed away on April 25, 2001, during practice at the Lausitzring circuit. Twenty-five years after his death, the city remembers him with a special event at Cascina Grande, which intertwines memory, automotive passion, and civic pride.
The heart of the tribute is the exhibition "Michele Alboreto, a Champion as a Friend", set up in the library of Cascina Grande. The exhibition offers a detailed journey through the driver's career and private life, enriched by the display of original memorabilia that tell the story of the man beyond the champion.
Accompanying the exhibition is a gathering of Ferrari cars from private collections, displayed in the facility's parking lot. Among the cars is the Formula 3 single-seater with which Alboreto won the European title in 1980, a piece of automotive history that brings the public back to the champion's beginnings. The Ferrari red thus colors Cascina Grande, in a tribute that combines sport and nostalgia.
The Homage to Michele Alboreto, an institutional event sponsored by the Municipality of Rozzano, is much more than an exhibition: it is the way an entire city remembers its champion. For motorsport enthusiasts and those who want to learn about the history of Rozzano, it is an unmissable event on the outskirts of Milan.
The 2026 edition opens on April 18 with the inauguration of the photographic exhibition in the library of Cascina Grande and a gathering of Ferrari cars from private collections (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM), including the Formula 3 single-seater with which Alboreto won the European title in 1980. The exhibition, with original memorabilia, remains open until April 30 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, closed Sundays and holidays).
