Holy Week of Piana degli Albanesi (Pashkët)

The 2025 Holy Week in Piana degli Albanesi, dedicated to the theme "The Roots of the Future," celebrated the Byzantine Easter with the customary calendar of Greek-Byzantine liturgies. On Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, the Pontifical Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius was held at 10:30, featuring the proclamation of the Gospel in multiple languages, a symbol of the universality of the Easter message.

At 12:00, the famous parade of women in traditional costumes took place along Corso Giorgio Kastriota, showcasing precious Arbëreshë garments and jewelry, followed at 13:30 by the distribution of red eggs and a prize draw in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The cultural program included, on Saturday, April 19, the screening of the video "Të Ndajtur Jemi Më Shumë" and, on Sunday, April 20 at 17:00, the storytelling and music performance "Jemi Arbëreshë me Nostalgji - The Tale of Arbëreshë Nostalgia" at the Seminary Theater.
