Holy Week 2025
In 2025, Noto once again experienced its intense Holy Week. On Holy Thursday, the faithful made the traditional visit to the sepulchres in the city's churches. On Good Friday, in the late afternoon, the relic of the Holy Thorn paraded in procession alongside the urn of the Dead Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows, accompanied by confraternities, the city band, and funeral marches.
On Easter Sunday, Piazza Municipio hosted "La Pace": the encounter between the statues of the Risen Christ and the Madonna, with the falling of the black mourning cloak and the ascent of the Cathedral steps, in a moment of great popular participation in the heart of the Baroque Municipality of Noto.
