Edition 2025 — Melilli Holy Week
The 2025 Holy Week in Melilli confirmed the strong appeal of the Iblean Easter rites, with a large turnout of the faithful and visitors in the historic center of the town, in the Province of Syracuse. The solemn Good Friday procession, with the statues of the Dead Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows, and the Easter Sunday rites, with the traditional N'Contru in Piazza Rizzo and the Spartenza on the parvis of the Basilica of San Sebastiano, drew thousands of people.
The municipal administration highlighted how the event combines religious value with the promotion of the territory, confirming the Melilli Holy Week as one of the most deeply felt Easter traditions in south-eastern Sicily.
