Holy Week and Easter in Caltabellotta

In 2025, the rites were held from April 13 to 20. After Palm Sunday (April 13) with Masses and the procession to the Cathedral, spiritual exercises took place at the Church of the Carmine from April 14 to 16; on April 15, the first festival La Musica nei Riti della Passione featured funeral marches performed by the local band. On Maundy Thursday (April 17), the Messa in Coena Domini with the Washing of the Feet at Sant'Agostino and the giro dei Sibbùlichi were held. Good Friday (April 18) featured the Living Stations of the Cross (10:00 AM) and the Crucifixion at the Calvario (12:00 PM). Holy Saturday (April 19) included the dressing of the statues at the Salvatore (4:00 PM) and the Easter Vigil (11:00 PM). Easter Sunday (April 20) saw the Nisciuta of Saint Michael the Archangel at dawn (5:30 AM) with fireworks, a musical performance by the La Nuova Primavera orchestra, and final fireworks.
