Edition 2025 — Holy Easter in Motta Camastra

In 2025, the Holy Easter Celebrations in Motta Camastra accompanied the community throughout Holy Week, with Easter Sunday celebrated on April 20. Between processions, liturgical services, and the village's ancient popular rites, believers and visitors shared days of faith and tradition in the Alcantara Valley.

The 2025 edition confirmed the vitality of the Easter traditions of Motta Camastra, a village in the Metropolitan City of Messina. The Good Friday procession passed through the historic center amidst chants and reflection, while the rites of u lamientu and u lavurieddu renewed the community's bond with its devotional memory.

On Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, the event concluded with the rite of l'Asguondru and the sharing of traditional sweets, particularly the cuddura cu' l'ova.
