Edition 2025 — History and Philosophy Festival

The first edition of the History and Philosophy Festival took place in February 2025 at the Teatro Odeon in Ponsacco. The inaugural event focused on the history of Tuscany and the local territory, with talks dedicated to the origins of modern Tuscany, the history of Ponsacco as a Pisan 'new town', and the role of the Medici between the center and the peripheries, marking the start of a cultural appointment destined to grow.

1st Edition — At the roots of Tuscany

The first edition of the History and Philosophy Festival inaugurated the event in Ponsacco, in the province of Pisa, with a review dedicated to Tuscan and local history. Among the themes addressed at the Teatro Odeon were the origins of modern Tuscany, the birth of Ponsacco as a Pisan 'new town', and the power dynamics of the Medici between the Florentine center and the peripheries of the territory. The debut edition laid the foundations for a festival that brings scholars and citizens together to discuss the great themes of history and thought.
