Edition 2025 — San Martino and Solferino Re-enactment
In June 2025, Desenzano del Garda again commemorated the Battle of Solferino and San Martino of 1859 with a historical re-enactment at Parco del Laghetto, featuring encampments, drills, and a re-enactment of the clash, in anticipation of the major 165th anniversary event.
In June 2025, the Parco del Laghetto in Desenzano del Garda hosted the re-enactment of the Battle of Solferino and San Martino, with historical group encampments, military drills, camp life, and a re-enactment of the 1859 battle between the armies. The event, curated by ACRIMPERI, reaffirmed the deep connection between the Lake Garda region and the memory of the Risorgimento, looking ahead to the 165th anniversary edition in 2026.
