Historical Re-enactment of the Battle of Calmasino of 1848

The 2025 edition of the Historical Re-enactment of the Battle of Calmasino confirmed the event dedicated to the memory of the May 29, 1848 battle, fought during the First War of Independence. In the hamlet of Calmasino di Bardolino, participants in period uniforms, historical encampments, pageants, and commemorative events recounted the clash between Piedmontese troops and the Austrian column led by General Zobel. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Bardolino with the Calmasino Alpini Group and local cultural associations, has for years combined historical dissemination and entertainment, keeping alive the Risorgimento memory of the Garda area.
