Historical Procession of the Apparitions of Saint Michael the Archangel

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Monte Sant'Angelo hosted the fifth edition of the Historical Procession of the Apparitions of Saint Michael the Archangel, a prelude to the Patronal Feast. At 6:30 PM, the procession departed from Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, crossing Via Tancredi, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, and Via Reale Basilica up to Piazza Carlo d'Angiò, with over 300 performers and three scenic floats.

At 8:00 PM, in Piazza Beneficenza, the Sacred Representation of the three apparitions of the Archangel and the tableaux related to the millennial pilgrimage to the Grotto took place. In harmony with the Jubilee Year, the edition focused on popular piety, integrating aspects of traditional devotion. The event was organized by the "Insieme Per" Cultural Association with the collaboration of the Michaelite Fathers of the Sanctuary and the patronage of the Municipality of Monte Sant'Angelo.

• 8:00 PM — Sacred Representation of the Apparitions of Saint Michael the Archangel in Piazza Beneficenza, with musical tableaux, biblical prologues, and choreographic interpretations by professional dancers, on the theme of popular piety in the Jubilee Year.

Fifth edition dedicated to popular piety on the occasion of the Jubilee Year. Over 300 performers, three scenic floats, and the dramatization of the apparitions of the Archangel Michael in Piazza Beneficenza.
