Edition 2025 — Historical Procession

In 2025, the Historical Procession of Cantiano was held on Saturday, April 12th, one week before the Good Friday Turba (April 18th). As tradition dictates, the procession started from Piazza del Mercato at 9:30 PM and concluded in Piazza Luceoli at 10:30 PM, featuring costumed characters from the Old and New Testaments and confraternities from Cagli, Gubbio, and Pergola, thus opening Holy Week in the historic center of the Marche village.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of the Historical Procession of Cantiano took place on Saturday, April 12th, as part of the "Easter Paths" calendar leading up to the Good Friday Turba (which fell on April 18th that year). The procession started from Piazza del Mercato at 9:30 PM and concluded in Piazza Luceoli at 10:30 PM, after traversing the medieval streets of the historic center of Cantiano (PU).

Along the route, costumed characters from the Old and New Testaments and confraternities paraded, including those from Cagli, Gubbio, and Pergola as a sign of solidarity and territorial aggregation. The procession represented, as every year, the solemn opening of Cantiano's Holy Week, a prelude to the grand sacred representation of the Turba.
