Historic Carnival of San Nicandro Garganico

The 2025 Historic Carnival of San Nicandro confirmed the vitality of a centuries-old tradition in the town of San Nicandro Garganico, in the Province of Foggia. Allegorical floats and masked groups paraded on February 23, 27, and March 4, starting at 15:00 from Parco San Michele along Viale Ottaviano Augusto and arriving at Piazza IV Novembre.

On March 2, the first Sunday of the month according to tradition, the fifth edition of the Historical Parade of the Pastore and the Pacchiana took place, with over three hundred costumed participants organized by the Gruppo Folk Sannicandrese, the Mos Maiorum association, and the Pro Loco. The season closed on March 9 with the thirtieth edition of the Quarantana at Palazzo Zaccagnino, curated by the local ethno-demological historical study center.
