Edition 2025 — Hispellum

In 2025, Hispellum once again brought Spello back to Roman times, with the re-enactment of the ancient Colonia Iulia Hispellum in the village's archaeological sites. Costumed parades, games, Roman market, banquets, workshops, and cultural insights animated the event organised by the HISPELLVM APS Association in the province of Perugia.

The 2025 edition of Hispellum confirmed the charm of the re-enactment of the ancient Colonia Iulia Hispellum, bringing Spello, in the province of Perugia, back to the atmospheres of Augustan and Constantinian Rome. The event, organised by the HISPELLVM APS Association, featured costumed parades and processions, gladiatorial games, the Roman market, banquets inspired by ancient dining, educational workshops, and cultural insights, set in the village's Roman sites: from the amphitheatre to the Augustan walls, from the Villa dei Mosaici to Villa Fidelia.

Programme

The 2025 edition followed the usual structure, divided between rituals and costumed parades, gladiatorial games and agones, Roman market, banquets, educational workshops, and insights from the scientific committee, held in Spello's Roman sites.

The re-enactment of ancient Hispellum with parades, games, and Roman market.
