High Val Riglio March

The fourth edition of the Marcia dell'Alta Val Riglio was held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Montechino di Gropparello, with departures from the sports field between 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM. Despite the high temperatures, the event gathered around 600 participants.

The three routes — Blue (5.5 km), Yellow (10 km), and Red (14 km) — passed by the Castle of Montechino, the pastures with Black Angus herds, the hamlets of Riglio, Breda di Sopra and di Sotto, the oak of Grafiolo, and the historic oil wells. The main refreshment point, set up in the Padri area amidst agricultural machinery and tractors, offered focaccias, cured meats, and potato cakes. Organized by the Pro Loco of Montechino with the CSI Piacenza and the patronage of the Municipalities of Gropparello and Bettola, the edition confirmed the formula that combines sport, territory promotion, and conviviality.
