Edition 2025 — Guido d'Arezzo National Polyphonic
42nd edition — November 30, 2025
The 42nd edition was held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in the Basilica of San Domenico in Arezzo, described as an artistically and acoustically fascinating venue. The competition between the six choral groups began at 10:30 AM, while the award ceremonies took place at 4:00 PM.
Six choirs from Calabria, Sicily, Trentino-Alto Adige, Umbria, and Veneto presented ten performances across the three categories: sacred music, secular music, and a monographic program dedicated to Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, on the 500th anniversary of his birth.
The Gruppo Vocale Garda Trentino achieved the highest score of the edition, 92/100, qualifying for the Italian Choral Grand Prix. The winners of the 1st prize in each category earned automatic entry into the 2026 International Polyphonic Competition. The jury consisted of Carlo Pavese, Matteo Valbusa, Maria Elena Mazzella, Alberto Odone, and Paola Versetti.
