Gsieser Almenlauf 2025 - 10th Anniversary Edition

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, the tenth edition of the Gsieser Almenlauf & Volksmarsch was held in Valle di Casies/Gsies. The anniversary edition attracted nearly 100 participants, including professionals, amateurs, and hobbyists, who arrived in the Casies Valley despite adverse weather conditions, with rain and fog along the high-altitude route.

The mass start was given at 09:00 from the Schlosserhof, at the valley floor of San Maddalena/St. Magdalena, on the usual 12 km and 1,070 m elevation gain track to the Uwald Alm. In the women's race, Katrin Sapelza (AVS Taisten) won with a time of 1:26:47, ahead of Katia Engl and Katharina Voppichler, who completed the podium. The day concluded with the awards ceremony and the traditional raffle at the mountain hut.
