Greppole Festival — Patronal Feast of Saint Andrew

In 2025, the Greppole Festival celebrated its 23rd edition on Sunday, November 30th, in Piazza Sant'Andrea in Pompiano, on the occasion of the patronal feast of Saint Andrew.

The day began in the morning with the inauguration, the award ceremony for deserving students, and the ceremony for babies born in 2025, followed by the inauguration of the nativity scene with bagpipers. In the afternoon, the greasy pole, the award ceremony for the Brescia-style spit roast competition and the greppole competition, and a fire-eater show took place, amidst roasted chestnuts, mulled wine, and traditional Brescian dishes.

Sunday, November 30, 2025 — Piazza Sant'Andrea

• 9:00 AM — Presentation of the Primary School project
• 9:30 AM — Procession from the Primary School to Piazza Sant'Andrea
• 9:45 AM — Inauguration of the festival, award ceremony for deserving students, and ceremony for babies born in 2025
• 11:00 AM — Inauguration of the nativity scene at the Peschiera with bagpipers
• 12:00 PM — Traditional lunch at the Alpini headquarters
• 2:30 PM — Greasy pole
• 3:30 PM — Award ceremony for the Brescia-style spit roast competition
• 4:30 PM — Award ceremony for the greppole competition
• 5:00 PM — Fire-eater show
