Edition 2025 — Great Bonfire of the Giöbia

The 2025 edition of the Gran Falò della Giöbia in Fagnano Olona renewed the ancient Olona Valley ritual in Piazza della Repubblica. Amidst music, risotto with luganega, polenta, and bruscitt, and the grand bonfire of the straw effigy, the festival—dedicated to peace—confirmed its role as the opener of the Giöbia celebrations in the valley.

In 2025, the Gran Falò della Giöbia once again animated Fagnano Olona, reviving the ancient ritual in Piazza della Repubblica that has always opened the bonfire season in the Olona Valley.

Organized by Pro Loco Fagnano Olona APS, the festival combined Lombard gastronomic tradition—risotto with luganega, polenta, and bruscitt—with music and the grand bonfire of the straw effigy. This year's edition, dedicated to peace, drew numerous families around the fire for a moment of community and sharing.
