Granita Festival

An established festival

After the first edition in 2023 — an evening dedicated to Sicilian granita — and the second edition in 2024 extended to three days, the Granita Festival of Campofelice di Roccella has made its mark on the summer calendar of the Province of Palermo. The event, promoted by the Campo…felicemente association with the Municipality, enlivens the Belvedere dei Tramonti, Piazza Garibaldi, and Via Cesare Civello.

Tastings and competitions

The public is the star of the tastings and the competition for the best granita, voted on directly by participants among traditional recipes and more creative proposals. Alongside the culinary competition, there is a photography contest dedicated to the town and its landscapes between the sea and the Madonie.

Shows and atmosphere

The evenings, with free admission, are accompanied by historical re-enactments with period costume pageants, roaming music through the streets of the center, and live concerts, in a summer setting overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Event format

The festival takes place over three evenings, with events starting from 9:00 PM in the center of Campofelice di Roccella:

• First evening — opening with historical re-enactment and period costume pageant, roaming music through the town streets.
• Second evening — granita tastings, musical entertainment, and continuation of the competition among the best creations.
• Closing evening — final concert, announcement of the winners of the granita competition and the photography contest.

Stands for tastings and public voting are set up throughout all evenings.
