Granfondo Poggi di Maremma

The seventh edition of the Granfondo Poggi di Maremma was held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, in Castiglione della Pescaia, favored by a day of splendid weather. About 500 athletes were at the start, competing between the Tyrrhenian coast and the rolling hills of the Maremma hinterland.

On the long route of approximately 126 kilometers, the victory went to Mikel Demiri, a Livorno native of Albanian descent, in 3h30'39", at the end of a sprint among the breakaway group. The men's podium was completed by Mattia Bevilacqua and Mattia Rotondi. Among the women, Loretta Giudici dominated with a solo ride, ahead of Elisa Federigi and Sybille Weidner. The event confirmed its role as a spring appointment for amateur cycling in the Maremma.
