Grand Patronal Feast of Maria SS. Annunziata

The 2025 Edition

The patronal feast of Maria SS. Annunziata in Merì (ME) was confirmed once again in 2025 as one of the most cherished events for the community, faithful to the appointment on the first Sunday of July. The religious program, centered on the Mother Church of Maria SS. Annunziata, featured the celebration of a solemn Mass and the procession of the patron saint's statue along the streets of the center, accompanied by the marching band.

Among the most characteristic moments were the traditional flower festival along the route and the presentation of the Key of the City, a gesture through which Merì entrusts itself to the protection of the Madonna. The secular part of the festival took place in Piazza Umberto I, with free shows and musical evenings that brought the village in the Messina area to life.
