Edition 2025 — GPFF

The 28th edition of the Gran Paradiso Film Festival took place in Summer 2025 in Cogne and the Gran Paradiso valleys. The Grand Ibex Award was given to the documentary 'Lions of the Skeleton Coast' by Will and Lianne Steenkamp, once again honouring great international nature cinema.

The 28th edition of the Gran Paradiso Film Festival confirmed Cogne as the summer capital of nature cinema. The prestigious Grand Ibex Award, presented by the popular jury, went to the documentary 'Lions of the Skeleton Coast' by directors Will and Lianne Steenkamp.

As every year, the festival featured the International Competition, the CortoNatura section, and numerous meetings with authors and naturalists, with screenings in Cogne and the other valleys of the Gran Paradiso National Park. The formula of open-air cinema, immersed in the alpine environment, attracted a large audience of nature and documentary enthusiasts.
