Goose Palio of Polaveno

The Palio dell'Oca is Polaveno's grand summer festival, deeply rooted in the identity of this town in Valle Trompia. Every year, in July, the five districts — La Fontana, Zoadello, La Valle, Castello, and La Sorgente — compete in games and tournaments that culminate in the spectacular final goose race. Amidst flavours, music, and festive moments, the event celebrates patrons Saint Anne and Saint Nicholas, intertwining the religious dimension of the processions with the local pride of the district competition. A popular tradition that involves the entire community.
