Good Friday Procession

The 2025 edition of the Good Friday Procession took place on Friday, April 18, 2025, in Francavilla al Mare. As per tradition, the community of Francavilla gathered around the statue of the Dead Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows, accompanied by the symbols of the Passion, in a procession that started in the evening from the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore.

The procession, organized by the Confraternity of the Most Holy Sacrament, crossed the streets of the center and the seafront in an atmosphere of reflection, amidst lit torches and sacred chants, confirming itself as one of the most attended rites of Holy Week in Abruzzo.
