Edition 2025 — Good Friday in Conca
The procession of April 18, 2025
The 2025 edition of the Good Friday Procession took place on April 18 in the center of Conca dei Marini, on the Amalfi Coast. As per tradition, the procession moved in the evening, crossing the main streets of the village and concluding the route near Largo Monastero Santa Rosa, overlooking the sea.
The Municipality, through an ordinance from the Municipal Police Department, regulated traffic along the entire itinerary: a parking ban with forced removal from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and a transit ban from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Via I Maggio, Largo Lama dell'Olmo, Via Umberto I, Piazza Olmo, Via Roma, and Largo Monastero Santa Rosa. A measure intended to protect the safety of participants and foster a climate of reflection during the procession.
In 2025, the procession once again represented the culmination of Holy Week in the small municipality in the province of Salerno, in a Campania region where Easter rites remain among the strongest expressions of the identity of coastal villages.
