Good Friday Procession and Rito della Cerca

The 2025 edition of the Holy Week rituals in Partinico confirmed the strong popular participation. On the night between Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, the Rito della Cerca was renewed, with the nocturnal procession of the Sorrowful Mother, dressed in mourning, on a pilgrimage among the Sepolcri set up in the churches of the historic center. On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, the Venerable Congregation of Saints Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus led the solemn procession of the Dead Christ and the Sorrowful Mother through the streets of Partinico (PA), accompanied by the band's funeral marches, up to Piazza Umberto I. A tradition that renews the Partinico community's bond with the rites of the Passion every year.
