Edition 2025 — Opi Gnocchi Festival

The 40th edition of the Opi Gnocchi Festival took place on August 22-23, 2025, in the historic center of the village, in the Abruzzo National Park. Two evenings with stalls opening at 7:00 PM: Opi-style gnocchi with meat sauce prepared by local cooks, arrosticini, sausage, local cheeses, and grilled scamorza, with a gluten-free menu managed by AIC Abruzzo volunteers. There was no shortage of music, ballroom dancing, markets, children's workshops, and the traditional midnight fireworks.

The 40th Opi Gnocchi Festival

The 2025 Gnocchi Festival celebrated its fortieth edition on August 22 and 23 in the historic center of Opi, in the province of L'Aquila. Food stalls opened from 7:00 PM, serving Opi-style gnocchi with meat sauce hand-prepared by local cooks, along with arrosticini, sausage with sauce, local cheeses, and grilled scamorza.

The complete gluten-free menu was confirmed, created with volunteers from AIC Abruzzo. The evenings were enlivened by folk and ballroom music, craft markets, and workshops for children, while the midnight fireworks display illuminated the village, confirming the festival as one of the most beloved in the Alto Sangro.
