Desenzano's first entirely gluten-free festival
From April 3rd to 6th, 2026, Desenzano del Garda, in the province of Brescia, welcomes the first edition of the Gluten-Free Festival, a food and wine event bringing completely certified gluten-free street food to the city. The setting is the historic center, between Piazza Cappelletti and the picturesque Lungolago Cesare Battisti, right in the heart of the Easter weekend.
What to eat
The stars are the certified food trucks, offering arrosticini, Black Angus burgers, Sicilian and Tyrolean specialties, and fresh pastries, all strictly gluten-free. Accompanying the dishes is a selection of gluten-free craft beers from Birrificio Hibu. A rare opportunity for those with celiac disease to choose freely from the offerings, without worry.
Not just food
The festival goes beyond gastronomy: an artisan market is set up along the lakefront, while street performers entertain in the historic center. The evenings are enlivened by DJ sets, transforming the event into a lively occasion suitable for the whole family.
An inclusive event on Lake Garda
The initiative was born with a strong spirit of inclusion: to bring to Desenzano del Garda a food and wine offering accessible to those with special dietary needs, without sacrificing taste and conviviality. Admission is free, and the location, overlooking the lake, makes the festival an ideal stop for a spring trip to the southern Garda area.

The Gluten-Free Festival 2026 is in its first edition and enlivens Desenzano del Garda from Friday, April 3rd to Monday, April 6th, during the Easter weekend. In Piazza Cappelletti and along the Lungolago Cesare Battisti, certified food trucks offer arrosticini, Black Angus burgers, Sicilian and Tyrolean specialties, fresh pastries, and gluten-free craft beers from Birrificio Hibu. The program is completed by an artisan market on the lakefront, street performer shows in the historic center, and evening DJ sets.

How to get there
