Edition 2025 — Giubiana of Cantù
In 2025, the Giubiana of Cantù once again rekindled the tradition of the bonfire on the last Thursday of January. The historical procession crossed the town center to Piazza Garibaldi, where the effigy was set ablaze amidst dancing fountains and fire shows, with risotto and mulled wine served by the Alpini.
The 2025 edition re-enacted the usual ritual: a historical procession in costume from Parco Martiri delle Foibe, arrival in Piazza Garibaldi, re-enactment of the legend, and burning of the Giubiana. The evening concluded with dancing fountains and a fire show.
The festival, organized by Pro Loco Per Cantù and the Municipality, drew numerous families to the town center, confirming the Giubiana as one of the most cherished winter events in the Como Brianza region.
