Edition 2025 — Fried Dough Festival

The 2025 edition of the Gioia dei Marsi Fried Dough Festival took place on Thursday, August 7, 2025, starting at 8:00 PM, as part of the Gioia dei Marsi summer program, which featured 64 events including culture, music, and nature. The local Senior Center prepared and distributed the traditional fried pastry for free, effectively opening the season of local gastronomic festivals that summer.

The 2025 Gioia dei Marsi Fried Dough Festival was held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, starting at 8:00 PM, in the center of Gioia dei Marsi. The event opened the series of gastronomic festivals included in the town's rich summer program, which for the 2025 season counted 64 events spread between July and September.

That year, the Senior Center once again oversaw the preparation of the fried pastry, made with dough infused with orange zest and bay leaf, served hot and coated in sugar and cinnamon. The free distribution drew residents and visitors to the streets of the center, which were animated in the following days by the White Night and the Sagna Gioiese Festival.
