About GiocaInsieme

GiocaInsieme is the great inclusive sports festival that enlivens the Pieve Canneti Sports Centre in Orciano, part of Terre Roveresche, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, every spring. A morning where over 160 participants of all ages, including young people from rehabilitation centres in the Marche region, schoolchildren, and residents of retirement homes, compete with smiles in eleven sports disciplines. An event where the main winner is togetherness.

A festival where everyone wins

GiocaInsieme is much more than a sports competition: it is a day of inclusion, friendship, and socialisation that transforms the Pieve Canneti Sports Centre in Orciano, one of the hamlets of the Municipality of Terre Roveresche, into a large shared playing field every year. We are in the hinterland of the province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the Marche region, where for over ten years this event has focused on people with disabilities, young people, and the elderly, bringing them together to play side by side.

Who participates

The beauty of GiocaInsieme lies in its intergenerational and inclusive dimension. Three generations meet on the field: pupils from the primary school of the "Gio' Pomodoro" Comprehensive Institute, residents from local retirement homes, and, above all, young people and adults from the socio-rehabilitation centres of the provinces of Pesaro-Urbino and Ancona. In total, each edition brings together over 160 participants who test themselves with enthusiasm, accompanied by volunteers, educators, and family members.

The disciplines

The morning is marked by a series of sports challenges designed to be accessible to everyone. Teams compete in eleven disciplines: running, relay race, vortex and shot put, bowling, darts, basketball free throws, penalty kicks, archery, long jump, and cornhole. At the end of the competitions, the most anticipated moment arrives: the awards ceremony, followed by a convivial lunch prepared by the volunteers of the Pro Loco of Orciano.

A network of solidarity

GiocaInsieme is organised by the "Il Mosaico" Day Socio-Rehabilitation and Educational Centre and stems from the collaboration of the entire community: the patronage and participation of the Municipality of Terre Roveresche, the Municipality of Fano, and the Italian Paralympic Committee, along with the Pro Loco of Orciano and the primary school. A concrete example of how sport can become a tool for growth, autonomy, and celebration for an entire region in the Marche.

GiocaInsieme — edition 2026
