Giarratana Living Nativity

The 32nd edition of the Giarratana Living Nativity was held on the evenings of December 26 and 29, 2024, and January 1, 5, and 6, 2025, in the evocative U Cuozzu district.

Organized by the Comitato Cerretanum with the support of the municipal administration and local youth and women's councils, the event offered a religious and cultural route along the alleys and houses of the Iblei village, animated for the occasion by costumed performers, lights, and ancient trades. The public was able to relive the atmosphere of bygone days in late 19th-century Sicily, in a journey through faith, tradition, and memory that confirmed Giarratana as one of the most appreciated living nativity scenes on the island.
