The 2025 edition

The thirty-third edition confirmed the established formula of the Roman competition: auditions spread over several days, separate categories for middle school students with musical specializations and for advanced-level students, evaluation on a 100-point scale, and the awarding of first prizes, absolute first prizes, and scholarships.

Among the protagonists, several institutes from Lazio and neighboring regions stood out. The Tivoli 2 Comprehensive Institute, with the musical section of the A. Baccelli school, won two absolute first prizes — a pianist and a guitarist — and a first prize with 98/100 for the school orchestra, in addition to recognition for the highest number of awarded soloists. The orchestra presented a deliberately eclectic program, alternating pieces by The Beatles and Stevie Wonder with pop songs that have now entered the repertoire of youth orchestras.

Other Roman and Campanian comprehensive institutes also took home merit diplomas and category prizes, confirming the authentically national vocation of the event.
