Twenty years of the Gesualdo Folk Event

The twentieth edition of the festival took place on August 27 and 28, 2025, in Piazza Neviera, under the Castle of Gesualdo, in the Irpinian municipality in the province of Avellino. An anniversary that the Pro Loco Civitatis Iesualdinae wanted to celebrate by retracing the journey begun in 2004: "twenty years of music, dance, culture, and community," in the words of president Luigi Petruzzo.

The first evening featured Stany Roggiero & I Bottari della Cantica Popolare, with the drums and songs of Southern tradition, followed by a performance by the Carlo Gesualdo dance school and a DJ set by Morano & Petraglia. On August 28, Eugenio Bennato, one of the recognized masters of Southern folk music, took the stage, accompanied by the Battista Band and, to close, a DJ set by Jampy.

On both evenings, the historic center hosted a beer festival and street food stalls with typical Irpinian products, confirming the formula that combines concerts, tradition, and conviviality in the village of inland Campania.
