Genius Loci - Afternoons in the Monferrato Villages

The 2025 edition of the Genius Loci - Afternoons in the Monferrato Villages festival, promoted by the Ecomuseo della Pietra da Cantoni Foundation of Cella Monte, enlivened the winter Sunday afternoons in Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria. The cycle began on Sunday, January 12, in San Maurizio di Conzano, with a visit to the 15th-century parish church.

The festival then continued from village to village, stopping in Occimiano among others, and concluding the winter season in Terruggia on Sunday, March 9, with a meeting at 2:30 PM in front of the Town Hall. Each afternoon, led by guide Anna Maria Bruno, highlighted little-known churches, historic homes, and artworks in the area. Admission was free for all stops, which took place even in the event of rain.
