Garnier Festival – Grand Maison Barbecue

The 2025 edition of the Garnier Festival renewed a now-customary appointment in the summer calendar of G.S.R. Castel del Bosco. In the hamlet of Garnier, above the village of Castel del Bosco in Roure, the morning opened with Holy Mass at the Maison and the distribution of the Blessed Bread, followed by the Grand Barbecue served at the table with grilled meat, local toma cheese, and seasonal fruit.

As every year, the festival represented a meeting point for the communities of Val Chisone and for hikers, capable of restoring life and voices for a day to a place that remains silent for the rest of the year. A simple and authentic opportunity to taste the flavors of the Piedmontese mountains and share the tradition of these Occitan valleys.
