About Garda Summer Tunes

Between June and July 2026, Garda Summer Tunes brings a series of free classical music concerts to Desenzano del Garda, set in cloisters, churches, and Roman villas overlooking the lake. Now in its 14th edition under the artistic direction of Luca Ranieri, the festival, part of the Garda Lake Music Excellence project, features young talents from the Prestige Academy alongside renowned soloists like Francesca Dego, with the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano. A summer of musical excellence accessible to all.

Musical Excellence on Lake Garda

Between late June and July 2026, Desenzano del Garda, in the province of Brescia, will host the concerts of Garda Summer Tunes, the concert season of the Garda Lake Music Excellence project. Now in its 14th edition under the artistic direction of Maestro Luca Ranieri, the festival offers high-level classical music in evocative locations around the city, completely free of charge.

The Venues

The concerts in Desenzano take place in settings of great charm: the Cloister of the Rambotti Museum, the Church of San Biagio, the Roman Villa, and the Castle. Every evening at 9:00 PM, these historic spaces transform into open-air concert halls under the stars, enhancing Desenzano del Garda's artistic heritage.

Young Talents and Great Soloists

Garda Summer Tunes pairs concerts by the faculty and students of the Prestige Academy—over ninety young musicians from Europe, Asia, and the Americas—with performances by established soloists. Among the highlights of the 2026 edition are violinist Francesca Dego with pianist Francesca Leonardi, the harps of Luisa Prandina and Susanna Bertuccioli, and the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano.

A Training and Cultural Project

Beyond the concert series, Garda Lake Music Excellence is also an international academy: the Prestige Academy offers courses in violin, viola, cello, flute, harp, clarinet, piano, and chamber music with prestigious faculty. This dual focus, educational and concert-based, makes Desenzano del Garda a key summer destination for great music, in collaboration with the municipalities of Sirmione and Padenghe.
