Galatone Contrade Palio

The 11th edition of the Galatone Contrade Palio took place on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the "Gigi Rizzo" Municipal Stadium, confirming the event's growing success with the public. The four districts—Cappuccini (yellow), Castello (red), Pommo (blue), and Vasce (green)—each fielded seven soldiers and one knight to compete for the Gonfalone. The evening opened with the traditional historical costume pageant, which wound its way from the town center to the stadium, with the participation of guest groups and over two hundred performers from all over Puglia. The organization was handled, as every year, by the CREATTIVAmens Association of Galatone.

• Historical Pageant — costume parade from the town center, starting from Piazza SS. Crocifisso and passing through Via Convento, Piazza Costadura, Via Chiesa, Via S. Anna, Piazza S. Demetrio, Via S. Sebastiano, Piazza S. Sebastiano, Viale XXIV Maggio, and Via XX Settembre.
• 8:00 PM — Arrival of the pageant at the "Gigi Rizzo" Municipal Stadium.
• 8:30 PM — Contrade Palio: competition between Cappuccini, Castello, Pommo, and Vasce.
