The return of the rite

The 2025 edition of the Funeral of Giuann Carnevale took place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, starting at 6:30 PM, in the historic center of Gravina in Puglia. The event was preceded by some preparatory stages launched in mid-February by the L'Areté association.

The procession

The funeral procession started from Via Scale Lunghe 4, at the Santa Cecilia Nativity Scene, where the chapel of rest for the effigy had been set up. The route crossed Piazza Scacchi, Via Matteotti, Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza Plebiscito, and Piazza Notardomenico, to conclude near the Arco di Sant'Agostino. Accompanying Giuann were the band, his wife Quarandoin, and the gossips mourning the deceased, with various moments of theatrical entertainment.
