The flavours of the lake as they once were

In Sarnico, a pearl of Lake Iseo in the province of Bergamo, there is a festival that smells of tradition and fresh water: the Fried Fish Festival. The event, held in Piazza XX Settembre, was created to rediscover the forgotten flavours of the lake and bring back to life the atmosphere of the characteristic 1950s festivals, when lake fish was at the centre of lakeside cuisine.

For three days, fried lake fish is the main star, served according to the traditional recipes of the Basso Sebino area. It's an opportunity to rediscover the authentic taste of simple, genuine cuisine, linked to the territory and its waters, in a festive atmosphere that attracts residents and tourists alike.

Taste and solidarity

The festival is organised by AVIS Sarnico e Basso Sebino and combines the rediscovery of lake flavours with an important message of awareness about blood donation. It is therefore a festival that does good twice: for the palate and for the community, in a spirit of volunteerism and tradition.
