Freedom Jazz Festival

The 9th summer edition of the Freedom Jazz Festival, organized by Lydian APS in collaboration with the Municipality of Mesagne and the Springtime Jazz Festival, was divided into two series and two artistic residencies between July and August 2025.

The Appia in Jazz series opened the festivities from July 10 to 12, with the "Connessioni" concert by Stefano Luigi Mangia and Domenico Sanna in the Castle atrium and the "Boom Collective" by Gaetano Partipilo in Piazza Orsini del Balzo. The heart of the edition was the artistic residency of the Freedom Extensive orchestra together with trombonist Gianluca Petrella, which culminated in a public performance.

The Young Wild Jazz section at Parco Potì (July 22-24) gave space to young talents, while at the end of August, a second residency expanded the Freedom Extensive to thirty members with Giovanni Falzone and Aldo Di Caterino. All outdoor events were free until capacity was reached, starting at 9:30 PM.
