The 2025 edition in Piacenza

Before arriving in Rome, the event was held in Piacenza from June 5 to 10, 2025, for the first time in the history of the championships. The formula already featured two venues: Piacenza Expo for the qualifying stages and preliminary rounds, and PalaBanca for the semifinals, individual finals, and team gold-medal bouts.

Six days of competition, twelve national titles at stake, and the presence of Paris 2024 Olympic medalists alongside emerging young talents. Among the Italian champions crowned in Emilia are Guillaume Bianchi and Martina Sinigalia in foil, Leonardo Reale and Rebecca Gargano in sabre, and Ettore Leporati and Giulia Rizzi in épée. The edition coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Circolo Pettorelli, a historic Piacenza fencing club.
