Edition 2025 — Frecagnola
The 2025 edition of the Frecagnola Fair was held in Cannalonga, in the province of Salerno, from Wednesday, September 10 to Sunday, September 14, 2025, under the title A True Story. Five days that confirmed the event's proven formula: food stalls with boiled goat, craft booths, a livestock market, and Cilento folk music concerts.
The ribbon-cutting took place on the evening of Wednesday, September 10, in Piazza del Popolo with a historical re-enactment dedicated to the marriage between Maria Farao and Toribio Mogrovejo, figures linked to the village's history, followed by the presentation of the Pietro Carbone Award and the opening of the stands.
In the following days, the historical salon at Palazzo Mogrovejo, show cooking dedicated to Cilento cuisine, performances by itinerant folk groups, and evening concerts in the square took place, leading up to the grand finale on Sunday evening. The livestock market, the 15th-century heart of the fair, reopened on Saturday morning.
The event was held under the patronage of the Campania Region and the Municipality of Cannalonga, confirming the growing fame of this centuries-old fair in the Cilento interior.
