Edition 2025 — Francofonte Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Francofonte Carnival took place during the Carnival period with three main days of festivities: Thursday, February 27 (Fat Thursday), Sunday, March 2, and Tuesday, March 4 (Shrove Tuesday). The Pro Loco, with the patronage of the Municipality, enlivened the town with allegorical float parades, traditional masks, masquerade balls, music, and confetti, in a festival specifically designed for children.

The 2025 Francofonte Carnival was spread over three main days: Thursday, February 27 (Fat Thursday), Sunday, March 2, and Tuesday, March 4 (Shrove Tuesday). The organization was managed by the Francofonte Pro Loco with the patronage of the Municipality.

On Sunday, March 2, the allegorical float parade started at 3:30 PM from Piazza Dante and the Ville area, traveling through the town streets. At 5:00 PM, the delightful four-legged parade dedicated to costumed pets took place, while the day was accompanied by masquerade balls and entertainment. The traditional Sicilian masks of 'u nannu and a nanna were also present, symbolically closing the Carnival with the arrival of Shrove Tuesday.

  • Opening of the Carnival festivities

  • 3:30 PM — Allegorical float parade through the town streets (departure from Piazza Dante / Ville area)
  • 5:00 PM — Four-legged parade (costumed pets)

Tuesday, March 4 (Shrove Tuesday)

  • Final day of festivities with traditional 'u nannu and a nanna masks, masquerade balls, and entertainment
