Edition 2025 — Franciscus. Fratello in Arte

'Franciscus. Fratello in Arte' is an exhibition conceived specifically for the 8th Centenary of the death of Saint Francis: the 2026 edition at Rocca Maggiore represents the first realization of the exhibition project dedicated to Michelangelo Pistoletto within the Assisi Estate 2026 programme.

The exhibition 'Franciscus. Fratello in Arte' is part of the celebrations for the 8th Centenary of the death of Saint Francis (1226-2026). Conceived for the Rocca Maggiore in Assisi, the exhibition dedicated to Michelangelo Pistoletto debuts in 2026 as one of the flagship projects of the Assisi Estate 2026 programme.

The project fits into the tradition of Assisi (Province of Perugia) as a place of encounter between art and spirituality, entrusting one of the greatest contemporary Italian artists with the task of reinterpreting the message of the Poor Man through the language of today's art.
