Francesco 800 – Cycle of events for the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis

The Francesco 800 event series debuts in 2026 on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, but its development began in 2025, a year dedicated to the conception and construction of the program by the Municipality of Sissa Trecasali (Parma) and Bi&Bi Eventi.

During this preparatory phase, the locations within the municipal territory—from the Rocca dei Terzi to the churches in the hamlets—were identified, and the content of the cycle was defined, including art conferences, sacred music, theatre, and a painting exhibition. The project received the patronage of the Province of Parma and the National Committee for the centenary celebrations, laying the groundwork for the inaugural edition in 2026.
