Edition 2025 — Fragola Expo Basilicata

The first edition of Fragola Expo Basilicata celebrated the Metapontino strawberry with exhibitors, tastings, and conferences, laying the groundwork for an event that has become a leading showcase for Lucanian agriculture and a precursor to the PGI recognition obtained in the fall of 2025.

The first edition of Fragola Expo Basilicata marked the debut of an event that immediately established itself as a major showcase for Lucanian strawberry farming. Amidst exhibition stands, tastings, and conferences dedicated to the sector, the event highlighted the economic and identity value of the Metapontino strawberry, a product that shortly thereafter, in October 2025, would obtain Protected Geographical Indication status. The success of the first edition paved the way for the 2026 event in Policoro.
