Edition 2025 — Vizzini Living Nativity

The sixth edition of the Food and Wine Living Nativity in the Lands of Verga was held in Vizzini on December 21, 26, 27, and 28, 2025, and January 3, 4, and 6, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The route wound through the San Michele district and Borgo Cunziria, featuring the Nativity, ancient Sicilian crafts, food tastings, and characters from Giovanni Verga's works.

The sixth edition of the Verghian nativity

The 2025 edition of the Food and Wine Living Nativity in the Lands of Verga, the sixth, took place in the historic center of Vizzini on December 21, 26, 27, and 28, 2025, and January 3, 4, and 6, 2026, continuously from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The route crossed the San Michele district, with the Nativity set up in the church of the same name, and Borgo Cunziria, the original setting of Cavalleria Rusticana.

Among the living tableaux, there was no shortage of traditional crafts — the barber, the shoemaker, the baker, 'u cufinaru — and characters from Verga's novellas, accompanied by tastings of wine and typical Sicilian products. Admission was paid with a low-cost ticket, and the route, set up in the heart of the Municipality of Vizzini, was designed to be accessible to people with motor disabilities.

Route in the San Michele district (Church of San Michele) and Borgo Cunziria, with the representation of the Nativity, traditional Sicilian crafts, characters from Giovanni Verga's works, and food and wine tastings.
