An evening of live music on the outskirts of Rome

The Music Festival in Fonte Nuova is the event that, on the longest day of the year, transforms this town in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, in the Lazio region, into a widespread stage. The initiative is part of the national circuit coordinated in Italy by the AIPFM and promoted by the Ministry of Culture: a European-inspired project that, since June 21st, has taken music out of traditional venues to return it to daily life, free of charge and without barriers.

Organizers

In Fonte Nuova, the event is managed by the Iniziative Culturali e Sonore association, a local organization dedicated to promoting music and culture in the municipality. The chosen format is an evening concert: a single, long live music session that begins in the late afternoon, while the light is still bright, and continues until midnight.

The lineup is not limited to a single style: the association presents a range of genres spanning much of the popular music of the 20th century and today.

It is located northeast of Rome, along the Via Nomentana, in that belt of metropolitan towns that has seen intense demographic growth in recent decades. In 2026, the Italian Music Festival reached its thirty-second edition, with the national theme The Voice of Places, involving over one hundred and seventy events in the Lazio region alone, the vast majority of which were in the province of Rome. Fonte Nuova is among the municipalities that answer the call every year.
